Le Beaujolais Nouveau est arrivé!: Malta once again celebrated the arrival of the Beaujolais Nouveau, an iconic tradition of French gastronomy and culture.
The Beaujolais is a young wine produced in the Beaujolais vineyard, a French wine region located in the north of the Rhône department and in a few communes of Saône-et-Loire in Burgundy, and is made essentially from the gamay noir N grape variety. It is put on sale worldwide on the third Thursday of November.
The Alliance Française de Malte-Méditerranée hosted its annual celebration at The Brewhouse, Farsons Brewery, on the same day, November 20.
Organised in partnership with the Franco-Maltese Chamber of Commerce, the evening gathered more than 150 guests, which included French Ambassador Sandrine Lelong-Motta, representatives of the Chamber, numerous partners and members of the public.
The evening opened with a tasting of the 2025 Beaujolais Nouveau primeur provided by Farsonsdirect, accompanied by a cocktail reception enriched by French partner bakeries La Maison Française and Miettes & Co. The convivial atmosphere encouraged both cultural discovery and professional exchanges.
A highlight of the night was a raffle, which offered guests the chance to win exclusive prizes generously donated by the event’s partners: AX Hotels, Baron Max Wines, Boutique Perruche, Farsonsdirect, Grand Hotel Excelsior, Heritage Malta, Le Regatta, L’Instant Précieux Gozo, Maison Juline and MG Climbing.
The 2025 edition concluded in a warm and festive ambiance, leaving attendees with lasting memories of an evening marked by conviviality, culture and community spirit.
