The Salesian Theatre is hosting the Rock Series 2026, a four-part concert programme celebrating Malta’s alternative and rock music scene.

The event is bringing together established acts and emerging artists in a curated live music experience at its Sliema venue from April to November.

By pairing influential names with distinctive emerging talent, the initiative aims to strengthen Malta’s contemporary music landscape and reinforce the theatre’s role as a vibrant cultural hub.

The programme

The series kicks off on April 18 with Brodu, one of Malta’s most compelling alternative rock bands, known for their sharp lyricism, driving rhythms and live energy.

Opening the night are Stjanu & Steve, bringing a distinctive collaborative set that sets the tone for an evening of powerful, guitar-driven music in an intimate live setting.

During the event, Brodu will be launching their fifth album PERELEJŻER PERELEJŻER. They will be playing songs from the new album alongside songs from previous albums.

The series will continue with the Beangrowers on June 20, Djun on October 24, and Brikkuni on November 28, each accompanied by supporting artists.

The initiative is supported by APS Bank together with Festivals Malta, Rock’nMalta, VisitMalta, Arts Council Malta, Creative Europe Desk Malta and Elmo Insurance.

Commenting on the initiative, APS Bank CSR manager Jeremy Vassallo said: “Initiatives like the Teatru Salesjan Rock Series create valuable space for local artists to connect with audiences while contributing to the growth of Malta’s cultural scene.

“We are pleased to support a programme that brings together creativity, talent and community.”
