Filfla boat cruise

NGO Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar will be providing an expert commentary about the flora and the fauna.
The island of Filfla is protected and usually cannot be approached by the public.

NGO Flimkien għal Ambjent Aħjar is organising a unique cruise around Filfla an uninhabited marine protected area which cannot be approached by the general public.

The tiny island hosts wild and rare nature, as in addition to endemic species such as the Filfla Lizard, this small island is a significant breeding site for colonies of birds such as the European storm-petrel and other protected species.

The tour will be accompanied by an expert commentary all the way, giving information about the coastal fortifications, geology and nature we’ll be passing. In addition to the views of Filfla island seabirds, turtles and dolphins may be encountered during the sail there and back. After reaching Filfla, the boat stops for swimming and snorkeling in the crystal blue, clear waters of the beautiful bay of il-Ħofriet Bay, followed by lunch.

The cruise departs on August 8 from Sliema Ferries at 10AM and returns at 4PM. Bookings are available here.
