The Malta Philharmonic Orchestra is continuing its series of orchestral and chamber concerts for children on January 14 at the Robert Samut Hall in Floriana.

The Do-Re-Mi musical adventure, led by artistic director Maria Blanco, proceeds with the introduction of the character of Mi (flute).

Children will have the unique opportunity to forge connections with this charming musical character created by scriptwriter Simon Bartolo, listen to professional music performances by Clare Galea (flute) and friends, and participate in an engaging age-appropriate workshop.

The series will then focus on the trumpet in February, the doublebass in April, the saxophone in May and the drumsticks in June. There will also be a children’s showcase concert in March and a concluding concert for all the family in July. More details are available on the MPO’s website.

Tickets for the January 14 concert, which starts at 11am, are available from showshappening.com. To take part in the 10am workshop, one needs to send an e-mail to development@maltaorchestra.com to reserve a place. Space is limited and participation is on first-come, first-served basis. Children under five must be supervised at all times.
