Celine launches new beauty line

The French maison known for its simple and chic designs, has announced its new beauty line, Celine Beauté.

French luxury fashion house Celine has recently announced it would soon launch its beauty line, an event that has made beauty editors across the world buzz with excitement. The news comes five years after director Hedi Slimane relaunched the brand’s fragrance department.

Named Celine Beauté, the beauty line will launch this autumn with just one satin red lipstick. Called Rouge Triomphe, the lipstick is embossed with the house’s logo and encased in a gold bullet. This will be followed by 15 further shades come early 2025, and then lip balms, mascaras, loose powder, blush, nail poshes, and eyeliners over the next few seasons.

During the announcement concerning the Celine Beauté line, the fashion house stated that, ‘The creation of Celine Beauté comes to enrich cultural roots, promoting a French idea of femininity and allure, distilled over the last five years by Hedi Slimane in his new institutional codes for the Maison Celine.’

The maison, which was founded by designer Céline Vipiana in 1945, seems to be taking its new venture slowly, focusing on quality in a market that is already over-saturated with brands and products. This, we can be sure, will reflect in this price: Celine, after all, is all about luxury, and that includes its pricepoint.
