Malta-produced feature film Ciao Ciao, directed by Keith Tedesco (Uwijja), is now streaming on Amazon Prime Video across the UK, Ireland, the US and Australia.
The dark comedy drama, released in 2025, follows two reacquainted couples during what begins as a friendly dinner reunion before spiralling into an unforgettable night of tension, chaos and uncomfortable revelations.
Produced by Lampa Stampa and Roughcut films, the film features a strong Maltese creative team both in front of and behind the camera.
It stars Mikhail Basmadjian, Antonella Axisa, Chris Dingli, Simone Spiteri, Katrina Lupi, Ryan Mark De Battista, Kevin Naudi, and Ruth Borg. Axisa, Dingli and Basmadjian co-wrote the script with Tedesco.
The director said the international streaming release marks a significant milestone for Malta’s growing film industry, bringing locally produced cinematic talent to millions of viewers worldwide through one of the world’s leading streaming platforms.
“It’s exciting to see Maltese storytelling reaching audiences across multiple continents”
“Having Ciao Ciao released on Amazon Prime Video internationally is a proud achievement for everyone involved in the production. It’s exciting to see Maltese storytelling reaching audiences across multiple continents,” Tedesco said.
The release further strengthens Malta’s reputation as a hub for original film production and independent cinema with international appeal, he added.
