Albert Ganado house contents in final sale

Viewing is on March 7 and 8 and the auction is to be held on March 9 and 10
Albert Ganado’s Valletta home was not an ordinary private dwelling but one filled with books, historical documents, maps, artefacts, furniture, artworks and other collected objects.

Obelisk Auctions is organising the seventh and final auction of the complete house contents of Albert Ganado, the respected scholar, historian, researcher and passionate collector.

This concluding sale represents the closing chapter of a lifetime dedicated to Maltese history, scholarship and collecting.

Each room reflected a life immersed in Maltese history and cultural preservation.

The entire collection was personally curated and planned by Ganado himself, and reflects decades of intellectual pursuit, refined taste and deep respect for Malta’s cultural heritage.

Held as instructed by the heirs of the late Muriel Ganado and the late Ganado, the auction offers collectors, historians and the public a rare opportunity to acquire items from a residence that was itself a living archive.

The entire collection was personally curated and planned by Ganado himself.

Ganado’s Valletta home was filled with books, historical documents, maps, artefacts, furniture, artworks and objects assembled over many years of research and scholarship. Each room reflected a life immersed in Maltese history and cultural preservation.

The auction will be conducted by auctioneer Pierre Grech Pillow of Obelisk Auctions.

One may view the Ganado residence at No. 1, Triq Mikiel Anton Vassalli, Valletta, on Saturday and Sunday (March 7-8), from 10am to 6pm, while the auction itself will be held at the Obelisk Auctions Gallery, Villa Drusilla, no.1, Mdina Road, Attard, on March 9 and 10, each day starting at 4.30pm.
