If you’re anything like us, lunch is often a makeshift meal we gobble up at our desks or on the go. That’s something that’s never sat right with Meike Peters, who hopes her 115 quick, creative, and easy recipes will help readers create their own lunchtime rituals and dig into healthier and more nutritious meals in the middle of the day.

Aptly named Noon, this cookbook will include attainable yet crave-worthy recipes that span seasons, tastes, cultures, with vibrant salads, delicious sandwiches, cosy pastas, savoury tarts, warming soups, speedy schnitzels, and Mediterranean seafood treats all making the cut. Through these recipes, Peters would like to give us a no-fuss, easy-to-follow blueprint for creating gorgeous meals to take with you to the office, whip up in a flash while working from home, enjoy with friends at the weekend, or even to take the hassle out of cooking after a long day’s work.

Among the ones we’re particularly looking forward to testing out are the Autumn Salad with Jerusalem Artichokes, Walnuts, and Apples, and the Carrot and Pear Salad with Tahini and Sesame Seeds – both of which promise to be texturally-intoxicating.

This collection of recipes will form the follow-up to the acclaimed 365 and the eat in my kitchen books, the latter of which won the food-blogger-cum-cookbook-author a prestigious James Beard Award in 2017.

Noon, published by Prestel in Germany, and Chronicle worldwide, is set to be on bookshelves across the world in September.
