It was a hobby that became a much-loved business: that is the best way to describe Yana’s Jewellery, one of Malta’s best-known and -loved brands in the sector, which is currently celebrating the tenth anniversary since the opening of its first shop.

Founded and run by Yana Azzopardi, who has a family history in jewellery making going back generations, Yana’s Jewellery was once nothing but a dream. But when her first collection got her an invite to exhibit in London’s Brick Lane, she was prompted to turn her hobby into a full-time business.

That is how the first Yana’s Jewellery shop, opened in Msida in 2013, came to be, and it quickly went on to become a mecca for both jewellery aficionados and fashionistas looking for unique an quirky pieces. The premise remained constant: statement and minimal bead-and-material jewellery that suits every mood, personality, and sense of style.

Speaking to Yana about this achievement, she tells us that, “It’s a huge milestone that we are proud to have achieved. Personally, I couldn’t have done it without the support of my family, husband, staff, friends, and all the people we’ve proudly collaborated with. They’ve been my backbone and I’m grateful for their love and support.

“I also want to express my heartfelt thanks to all our loyal customers, who have believed in us and trusted us to design pieces they enjoy wearing. Without your support and trust, we wouldn’t be where we are today.”

So, here’s to many more years of jewellery designs and exciting projects from Yana’s Jewellery. And don’t forget, to help you celebrate this Mother’s Day in style, the brand has 15% off on all orders over €30 both in store and online.
