Thrift for solidarity

Proceeds to go towards the organisation SGSE/SEEN.

MGRM, YMCA Malta, Moviment Graffitti and friends will be thrifting to fundraise for the LGBTQI community in Syria, which is still suffering from the after-effects of the earthquake that occurred in February earlier this year.

While international support has rallied towards those afflicted, it remains a reality that the LGBTQI+ community in Syria is politically opressed and will find it more difficult to benefit from any aid that reaches the region. The pop-up thrift store will be taking place in aid of the organisation SGSE/SEEN.

During the event, community members will host stalls with clothes, books, art and more at Maori, in Valletta. The event starts tomorrow August 6 at 5pm. Everyone is welcome to attend, and the event will be followed with music.
