2024 is already looking like a Lana Del Rey-defined year, with the singer receiving five Grammy Award nominations, being announced as this year’s Coachella headliner, and now starring in a gorgeously over-the-top Valentine’s Day campaign for Skims – the Kim Kardashian co-founded shapewear brand that was valued at over $4 billion just six months ago.
Photographed by British photographer, film director, and model Nadia Lee Cohen, Lana’s campaign takes inspiration from retro romanticism, as well as Lana’s own visuals. Indeed, in one photo, Lana can be seen sitting in a giant satin-lined chocolate box; in another, she dons a black lace veil and stares at the camera with an arrow going straight to her heart; and in another she sits on a red fur throw accompanied by two fluffy white cats.
In all the photos, Lana naturally wears items by Skims, including the Fits Everybody bodysuit, the Woven Shine dress, and the Heart Sleep set. These are all part of the brand’s Valentine’s Day shop, which this year has over 29 limited-edition collections that range from underwear to loungewear.
In a statement released to the media, Lana said that she’s “been a big fan of Skims since the beginning, so being featured in their Valentine’s campaign is so exciting. Their collection is so pretty and dreamy, which made collaborating with Nadia on the creative so fun. I hope you love it as much as I do.”
Skims can be found online at Skims.com, or at numerous retailers around the world, including at Harrods and Selfridges&co in the UK.
