We recently teamed up with the wonderful HUH – Help Us Help, a voluntary organisation that holds events in aid of Malta and Gozo’s animal shelters.
As we explained in our introductory article, titled Help these ladies match some furry friends with their forever home, we are bringing you profiles of pets who are currently waiting to find their new home.

Sweetie & Honey
Sweetie and Honey are female cats that are around four and a half years old. They were originally rescued by Animal Welfare and taken in for fostering by their owner, who has been an active fosterer and volunteer for many years.
Sadly their owner is terminally ill with a condition which has left her unable to take care of her beloved cats. So, in order for Sweetie and Honey not to be left alone, they are currently being fostered by CLAWS. However, they are also looking for a forever home.
Ideally, their new forever home should be one where the cats can stay indoors, as they are rather frightened of the outdoors, though having an outdoor area is not necessarily a deal breaker given it’s secluded and safe. We are also told that while both cats are great with children, babies may be a different matter.
Sweetie and Honey are to be adopted together, and their characters complement each other perfectly. Sweetie, who is the tri-coloured cat, is confident and loves to play; while Honey, which is the grey and white tabby, tends to be shy… Oh, and she loves eating!
