Storytelling and crafts sessions for children during Libraries Week

Malta Libraries is holding two events for children at the Qormi Regional Library as part of the official programme for Libraries Week 2024.

The first one will see a storytelling session aimed at children aged 0 to 3 on April 23 at 10am.

The second event, aimed at children aged 4+, will engage the young participants in various crafts on April 25 at 3.15pm.

Both sessions will be led by Connie Agius.

Booking is required. E-mail qormi.library@gov.mt for reservations. All those attending will be given a small token.

Malta Libraries is also holding a reading marathon at the Floriana Public Library on April 24 from 9am to 9pm, where various authors, including Ruth Frendo, Anton Grasso and Rita Saliba, alongside librarians and collaborators, will read excerpts from their favourite Maltese books, scripts or poetry collections.

The marathon will be live-streamed on Malta Libraries’ online platforms such as Facebook and YouTube, as well as on Calypso Radio 101.8FM. 

Libraries Week 2024 coincides with World Book Day, also known as World Book and Copyright Day or International Day of the Book, being marked globally on April 23.
