Following last year’s sold-out success, A Midsummer Dream returns as part of the Mdina Resounds series by Udjenza, featuring the Cordia String Quartet, tenor Cliff Zammit Stevens and actress Clare Agius. The one-night-only event will be held at the Aula Capiturale at St Paul’s Cathedral in Mdina on June 17.
Under the musical direction of Jacob Portelli, the intimate concert will take audiences through some of classical music’s most beloved works, from Handel’s majestic Music for the Royal Fireworks and Brahms’s Hungarian Dances, to the beauty of Haydn’s Sunrise and the romantic elegance of Dvořák’s waltzes.
Before the performance, guests will be invited to explore the cathedral’s main nave, a rare opportunity to experience the serenity of one of the historic landmark after hours.
The evening will begin with a welcome drink hosted by the Xara Collection, setting the tone for a refined midsummer experience.
