Inspiration straight from the Met Gala

O’hea Opticians recently treated its VIP guests to a fabulous event, which saw some of its clients become ambassadors for brands like Loewe, Celine, Dior, Tom Ford, and Givenchy.

O’hea Opticians have always known how to throw a good party, so it was unsurprising that the first O’hea Gala Night was a resounding success with guests.

Inspired by the Met Gala, which takes place annually in New York, the evening was the brainchild of Angelica Pagnelli, an eyewear image consultant. Pagnelli was in Malta from Milan to help the opticians’ clients make the best possible eyewear choices based on their face shape, skin colour, and personality, among other traits.

The dress code for the evening was monochromatic black and white, with the two colours taking over the garden at the historic Phoenicia Malta. On display there were also plenty of eyewear brands O’hea have become synonymous with, including the coveted Loewe, Celine, Fendi, Dior, Tom Ford, Pucci, Givenchy, Stella Mc Cartney, Dita, Silhouette, and Etnia Barcelona.

One beautiful surprise from the evening was the fact that the models on the red carpet-cum-catwalk were actually clients of the opticians, keeping O’hea’s tradition of showcasing its wares on people who are not traditional models. (Who can forget when O’hea engaged the Phoenicia Malta’s staff as its models for the night?)

Sunday Circle was invited to the event, too, and we’re really happy to share some images from the wonderful evening with you!
