Kirkop school celebrates Book Week

Students and book lovers may enjoy various literary activities from today to Friday

St Benedict College Secondary School Kirkop is once again organising its annual Book Week. The literary celebration promises a week filled with excitement, exploration and inspiration for students and book enthusiasts alike. 

Highlights of the programme include a book review exhibition, where students will showcase their insights and recommendations on a diverse range of literary works, a ‘Match the Selfie to the Shelfie’ competition, exhibits presented by the school’s book club and a braille exhibit and expo in order to showcase the importance of inclusive literature.

Attendees can also browse through a plethora of literary gems and gift stalls at the book fair. The book fair will be held at the school’s ground foyer from today to Friday, March 15 from 10.30am to noon. New books will be available for sale at €3 and second-hand ones at €1.

Additionally, the event will feature a number of esteemed guest speakers in the library such as actor Mario Micallef and songwriter Marija Bellia, engaging storytelling sessions with Kindergarten children and a thrilling scavenger hunt in the library.
