Not a drill: Beyoncé hair care incoming

There is no stopping Beyoncé: over the past year, the Grammy-winning singer has travelled the world with her Renaissance World Tour, released a multi-million-grossing tour movie, and collaborated with various brands, including on a Renaissance jewellery collection with Tiffany & Co. But there is no stopping Queen Bey, who is giving the Beyhive something else to celebrate… A new hair care brand launching online on February 20.

Called Cécred, the brand has been a long time in the making, with Beyoncé inviting beauty influencers to her birthday show and the Renaissance movie premiere in LA last year, as well as teasing her followers with pictures of herself with unmarked haircare products.

So far, however, most information seems to be underwraps. Indeed, the treaser video released on Beyoncé’s Instagram profile on February 7 simply revealed the name and website of the brand. Having said that, the video is full of imagery that’s begging to be deciphered.

This includes the footage of a young Beyoncé at her mum’s, Tina Knowles’s former hair salon, as well as footage of black women shampooing their gorgeous afro-textured hair. Perhaps the most telling line of all was the video’s caption, which read, “Hair is sacred.” 
All we can say at this point is that we can’t wait to see what Queen Bey has in store for us with Cécred. After all, her hair is almost as legendary as she is, and we’re sure we will get some life-changing hair-related tricks and tips from her!
